Mrs. Edna Ethel Franks, age 75 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday December 21, 2014 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born June 1, 1939 in Ringgold, Georgia, to the late Hubert H Gaston and Clara Mae Chambers Gaston. She was also preceded in death by her brothers; Charles Gaston and Robert Gaston, sister; Eunice Jackson and Deborah Pilato.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Bradley Franks Sr., daughter and son-in-law; Rhonda and Vito Caronna of Hammond LA., son; Rick Franks of Dalton, GA, grandson; Vincent Caronna of Hammond, LA., brothers; Samuel and Lorene Gaston of Ringgold, GA., Kenneth and Hilda Gaston of Dalton, Ga, sisters Deetta Rosata of Huston, TX, brother-in-law, J.C and Anna Franks of Dalton, sister-in-law Linda Brown of Dalton, also several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Edna Franks, will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 2:00 pm from Ponders Melrose Chapel, with Rev. Lillard Stringer officiating. She will be laid to rest at Gordy Memorial Cemetery in Ringgold, GA.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel, Monday December 22, 2014 from 5:00p.m til 9:00 p.m. and from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the service on Tuesday.
