Mrs. Edna Montyne Collins, age 83, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday evening, January 28, 2014 at her home. She was born February 28, 1930, in Walker County, GA, a daughter of the late Ciceroe and Ethel Bailey Stansell. She was also preceded in death by her husband Odell Daniel Collins, daughter, Marilyn Juanita Collins, brothers, B.F., Homer, and Thurman Stansell, sisters, Dessie Goble, Vera Ogle, Dorothy Neal. She was a member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church. She was the owner of the Mill Creek Diner in Rocky Face.

She is survived by her son, Danny Collins of Rocky Face, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Betty Lloyd Newby and Jack Newby of Tunnel Hill; grandchildren, Ashley Stewart, Latasha Burton, Steve Lloyd, Craig Lloyd; great grandchildren, Kayla Lloyd, Donovan Lloyd, Madison Patterson, Michiko Burton, Gabriel Burton, Kakashi Burton, Cain Stewart; great great grandchild, Jayden Morris; several nieces and nephews,

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Edna Montyne Collins will be held Monday February 3, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. from the Mill Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Gary Hill, Reverend Keely Hasty and Reverend Charles Carnes officiating. She will lie in states at the church from 12:00 P.M. until the funeral hour on Monday. Interment will follow in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Sunday.
