Mr. Edgar Ralph "Junior" Peters Jr., age 87, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday March 6, 2016 at his residence. He was born October 1, 1928 in Verde, KY, a son of the late William Edgar and Cassie Peters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Vernie Peters of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, David and Vickie Peters of Tunnel Hill, GA; grandchildren, Sara Peters, Amy Bryant, Zach Peters; great grandchild, Otto Sterling Wagner; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Edgar Ralph "Junior" Peters Jr. will be held Tuesday March 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Valley Baptist Church with Reverend Charlie Hamm officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
