Mr. Eddie Joe Holder, 72, of Fairmount, Georgia, departed this life on Monday night, November 25, 2019 at Gordon Hospital.
Mr. Holder was born in Hall County, Georgia on July 2, 1947. He was a son of the late Arthur Holder and Mary Lou Crowe Holder. Mr. Holder was a Veteran of The United States Marine Corps. He was a member at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and prior to retiring, which he enjoyed every single day of, Mr. Holder was a self-employed farmer raising chickens for Pilgrim's Pride. He was an avid lover of old Hot Rod Cars and antiques, and was a member of the Classic American Rides Car Club.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Stephens Holder of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Kathy Holder; granddaughters, Kailey and her husband Chad Murry, and Brayden Holder; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Phil Thompson, Geraldine and Ray Jeans; brother and sister-in-law, John and Rachel Holder.
To honor Mr. Holder's wishes he will be cremated.
The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life Service on Sunday, December 1, 2019 between the hours of 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Fairmount Community Center. At 3:00 PM an informal service will be held where friends and family will have the opportunity to share words of comfort.
