Mr. Eddie Weston Hester, age 63 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday August 24, 2015 at the local hospital. Eddie was born December 22, 1951 in Dalton, GA, a son of the James Carquitt and L D Muse Hester. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Olia Bearden, Mae Quarles, Hazel Beltrum, Olia Ruth Shoemaker, Annie Mae Southerland, brothers, Roy Hester, Willis Hester, Walt Hester.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle Hester and Jeff Stacy of Cohutta, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Mildred Rogers of Dalton, GA; sisters, Cullie Owenby of Chatsworth, GA, Shirley Arrambide of Texas; grandchildren, Phillip Weston Taylor, Colton Crider, Christopher Hester, Daniel Hester; brother-in-law, Darrell Shoemaker of Cohutta, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Eddie Weston Hester will be held Friday August 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the Antioch Cemetery with American Legion Post 112 in charge of military honors. Stevie Rogers, Roger Gentry, Terry Rich, Jake Stacy, Jessie Stacy, and Luke Stacy serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.
