Mr. Doyle Shane Flowers, age 41, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Monday, June 20, 2016 at the local hospital. Shane was born November 15, 1974 in Cobb County, Georgia. Shane was employed by L.G. Housey Company. He loved playing video games and listing to heavy metal music. Shane was one of the best people you could ever meet. He was even known to have taken his shoes off and gave them to a homeless person. But the true love of his life was his family.

Shane was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hugh Stegall, Herman and Rosie Flowers.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Laura Wilkey Flowers of the residence; daughter, Courtney Flowers; son, Zachariah Conner both of Calhoun, GA; parents, Doyle and Pam Flowers; sister, Angela and Russ Stringer; nephews and nieces, Dusty and Jordan Stringer, Austin and Kaitlyn Stringer; great-niece, Taylynn Stringer; grandmother, Catherine Stegall all of Cartersville, GA; special friends, Jason Brannon and Jeremy Hale; several aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Doyle Shane Flowers will be held Friday, June 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Reverend Hoyt Jones officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Faith Tabernacle Church Cemetery in Bartow County, Georgia, with Zachariah Conner, Garrett Conner, Jason Brannon, Bryson Pendley, Dusty Stringer, Austin Stringer, Jeremy Hale and Jason Flowers serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and after 11:00 a.m. Friday until the service hour.
