Mrs. Dovie Murvis Ridley Roberts, age 77, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Friday, May 28, 2021, at her home. She was born November 3, 1943 in Murray County, a daughter of the late Claude R. and Jessie Lee Jones Ridley. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Fred McHan, second husband, Vernon Noland, grandson, Austin Lee Bagley,  brother, James Richard Ridley.

She is survived by her husband Arthur Lee Roberts of the residence; son, Freddie McHan and Pam Allen of Chatsworth, GA; daughters, Judy Standridge and Ricky Wilborn, Kathy Hawkins and Josh Ashton, JoAnn and David Amos, Kimberly and William Mullins, Cindy and Jeremy Bagley of Chatsworth, GA; stepchildren, Wayne Roberts, Joy Roberts of Sweetwater, TN;  brothers and sister-in-law, George and Glenda Ridley of Dalton, GA, Wendell Ridley of Chatsworth, GA; sister, Dessie Ruth Montgomery of Ranger, GA; 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Dovie Murvis Ridley Roberts will be held Wednesday June 2, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Jackie Ellington officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Murray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
