Mr. Douglas C. Rigsby, age 74, of Tunnel Hill, GA, departed this life, Tuesday May 30, 2017 at the local hospital. Doug was born October 6, 1942 in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late William Clarence and Edna Morgan Rigsby. He was also preceded in death by his son, Brian Rigsby, brothers, Larry Rigsby, Bruce Rigsby. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 112 in Dalton, GA.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Nellie Lou Rigsby of the residence; son, Gary Rigsby; grandsons, Cody, Garrett and Erik Rigsby all of Tunnel Hill, GA; special niece, Jeannie Crane of Rome, GA; special nephews, Jimmy and Brent Rigsby of Cohutta, GA brother, Don Rigsby of Florida; sister, Darlene Havens of Los Alamos, NM.

At the family's request services for Mr. Douglas C. Rigsby will be private.

He will be laid to rest at the Gordy Memorial Cemetery.
