Mr. Douglas Brian Jones, age 51, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday, October 31, 2023. He was born January 5, 1972 in Dalton, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Charles Jones.

He is survived by his mother, Kathy Cross Jones of Dalton, GA; children, Amanda Jones of Dalton, GA, Monica Shaw of Ringgold, GA, Blake Thomas of Michigan, Cody Stepp, Miller Higgins of Dalton, GA; companion, Sally Higgins of Dalton, GA; cousins, Dwayne Brewer of Arkansas, Larry Brewer of Dalton, GA; special friends, Jamie Higgins, David Caylor, Jimmy Horn, Scott Taylor.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Douglas Brian Jones will be held Saturday November 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Wayne Cofield officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday. Interment will follow in the Flat Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellijay, GA, with Roy Johnson, Dwayne Brewer, Larry Brewer, Doughboy Payne, Miller Higgins and Donnie King serving as pallbearers.
