Mrs. Dorothy Anne Vick, age 81, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday morning, September 10, 2013 at the Ridgewood Manor Health Care. Dorothy was born August 27, 1932 in Dunwoody, Georgia, a daughter of the late Silas and Jessie M. Lackey King. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Troy Vick, a daughter, Frieda Davidson, brothers, Bill King, Liman King and Luther King, a sister, Carmay Jones. She was retired from Texture-Tex and was a member of Trinity Fellowship.

She is survived by her son, Joe Vick; daughter, Lisa Todd both of Dalton, GA; brother, Joe King of Cartersville, GA; sister, Viola Pace of Spring Brook, FL; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Minister Timothy Parker officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at the Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Gilmer County, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.
