Mrs. Dorothy Ann Thomas, age 72, of Calhoun, GA., departed this life, Thursday September 8, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born February 1, 1944 in Atlanta, GA., to the late James Kile Sr. and Beatrice Williams Kile. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, James Kile Jr, Charles Kile; sisters Joyce Striblin and Fannie Mae Bryant; brother-in-law, Jerry Striblin .

Mrs. Dorothy Ann Thomas is survived by her husband, John Paul Thomas, they would have celebrated their 57 years of marriage on November 7, 2016; sons, John and Lisa Thomas, Lee and Donna Thomas, Danny and Carol Thomas, Andy and Natalie Thomas, all of Calhoun, GA; daughters, Tawanna and Terry Collins of Calhoun and Brenda and Robert Watkins of Chatsworth; sisters, Charlotte and Vincent Hill , Diane and David Townsend, all of North Carolina; nineteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Dorothy Ann Thomas, will be held Sunday September 11, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. from Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Rev. Jamie Hunt, Rev. Brian Childs and Rev. Greg Montgomery officiating. Interment will following at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Chris Fairbanks, Jerry Collins, Terry Collins, Andy Buchanan, Jeff Davis, Bryan Thomas, Lamar Thomas, William Abraham and Bobby Collins serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. from Ponders Calhoun Chapel.
