Mrs. Dorothy Marie Phillips, age 93, of Dalton, GA, departed this life, April 19, 2016. Dorothy was born March 15, 1923 in Dalton, GA, the daughter of the late Charles White and Myrtle Bridges White. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Phillips; sons, Allen Phillips and Charles Phillips; brothers, John White, Jack White, Ben White, Sam White, Fred White; sisters, Mary Dobson, Lois Bullis and Ruth Oden. Dorothy was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

Mrs. Dorothy Marie Phillips is survived by her sons, Stephen and Deborah Phillips of Rocky Face, GA, Joel and Joan Phillips of Ringgold, GA, Mike and B.J. Phillips and Ronnie and Billie Phillips, of Dalton, GA; daughter-in-law, Glennice Phillips, eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and many friends.

The service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Dorothy Marie Phillips will be held, Friday, April 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with the Rev. John Tudor officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and from 11:00 a.m. Friday until the service hour.

The family ask, that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Dorothy Marie Phillips, to the Alzheimer's Association, 922 East Morris Street, Dalton, GA. 30721.
