Ms. Dorothy Mae "Dot Dot" Moore, age 87, of Rocky Face, Georgia, and formerly of Chattanooga, Tennessee, departed this life Friday afternoon, September 28, 2018 at the local hospital. She was born August 30, 1931 in Chattanooga, TN, a daughter of the late James Myles and Beulah Lewallen Moore, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, James Myles Moore, Jr., Virgil Moore, Grady Moore and Vernon Curtis Moore. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church where she was baptized on August 6, 1944. She retired from Lawtex Industries. She was a special lady who loved her family.

She is survived by her sister, Norma Bird of Ooltewah, TN; sisters-in-law, Peggy Moore of Rocky Face, GA, Louise Moore of Chatsworth, GA;  nephew, Stanley Bird of Ooltewah, TN; special niece, Lisa Bonifacious of Rocky Face, GA; special great niece, Grace Moore; several other nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Ms. Dorothy Mae "Dot" Moore will be held Monday, October 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Clifford Chambers and Reverend Marty Greene officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Rocky Face, Georgia, with Greg Bonifacious, Matthew Bearden, Tony Bearden, Hunter Gazaway, Kenny Stokes and Jay Warren serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.
