Mrs. Dorothy Cooper McDonald, age 86, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Monday morning at the local hospital.  Dorothy was born in Cohutta, Georgia on June 6, 1933.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn W. and Gladys Sutton Cooper; her husband who passed away May 5, 1995, Byrl Wilburn McDonald; daughter, Karen Teresa McDonald; sisters, Faye Wilson and Louise Oliver; brothers, Ronald Cooper and Doyle Cooper; niece and nephew, Mitzi and Chip Barr.

Dorothy was a member at Tunnel Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Brian McDonald of Tunnel Hill, and Sherry Wagnon of Chatsworth; nieces and nephews, Pam and Gary Gunter, Marty and Cynthia Cooper, Stuart Gibson, Tanya and James Ford; great-nieces and great-nephews, Daphne and Anson High, Courtney Gunter and Kevin Garrett, Brevin Gunter, Ashton High, Anslei High, Talon and Garrett Tucker.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Dorothy McDonald will be on Friday, April 17, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Pavilion of The Celebration Mausoleum at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens.  Reverend Ronald Guffey will officiate.  She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband and daughter at West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 16, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Due to restrictions from the Covid-19 pandemic crowd restrictions will be implemented.
