Dorothy Lillian Lydon Moore, age 95, of Dalton, GA passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 18, 2017.

Dottie was born in 1922 in Swampscott, MA to Thomas and Lillian Lydon. In 1946, Dottie married George Hall Martz and they raised six children together. After a divorce, Dottie married Clayton "Whitey" Moore in 1992. Dottie was an incredibly talented artist and loved to paint. She also enjoyed reading, travel, chocolate, playing games and spending time with her family.

She is survived by four children, Jack Martz, Kathy Payne, Mike Martz and Patty Rogers; her husband's children, Jennifer Stogsdill and Peggy Grady; twelve grandchildren, Heidi Pogue, Patrick Ransom, Amanda Etheridge, Josh Martz, Sandy Martz, Kimberly Hubbard, Ashley Farquhar, Kelli Martz, Jared Martz, Kyle Rogers, Andrew Stogsdill and Nathaniel Stogsdill; and thirteen great grandchildren, Dylan, Daniel, Emily, Luke, Ian, Camilla, Mabel, Caroline, Taylor, Cooper, Logan, Ian and Jaelynn. She was predeceased by her husband, Whitey Moore and two children, Bob Windsor and Tom Martz and her husband's child Robin Moore.

Dottie chose to be cremated and wanted her ashes scattered in the ocean. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date to fulfill her wishes. Memories and messages of condolence may be sent to the family at 1912 Bobby Dr, Dalton, GA 30720.
