Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" June Williams Jennings, age 92, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday, October 13, 2023, at her home. She was born April 12, 1931, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Thomas Lafayette and Thelma Lee Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Dee Jennings, sisters, Carol Smith, Sharon Creel. She was a strong Christian woman and longtime member of Harmony Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School/AWANA Teacher, Treasurer and Secretary. Much of her career was as Office Manager at Textile Maintenance.

Dot is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Denise Jennings and Don Montgomery of Sandy Springs, GA, Lee Ann Jennings Cline of Dalton, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Melissa Jennings of Johns Creek, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Ron Geisler of Panama City, FL; grandchildren, Russell Jennings, Victoria and Jason Day, Emily Jennings and Kaiser Smith, Anna Cline; nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. "Dot" Jennings will be held Tuesday October 17, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Dr. Randy Smith and Pastor Stephen Baker of Harmony Baptist Church officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Jorge Castillo, Jeff Crump, Jason Day, Roger Hicks, Russell Jennings and Kaiser Smith serving as pallbearers The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday and after 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
