Mrs. Dorothy Johnson, age 86, of Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, May 28, 2023 at the local hospital. She was born June 2, 1936 in Kingston, Georgia, a daughter of the Oscar and Emily Richards Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Aria Bagley, Robert E. Johnson Sr., Walter Johnson, Van Johnson, Lena Johnson Grosch, Clearance Johnson, Jewell Johnson, Barbara Johnson, niece Faye Bagley, nephews Jimmy Johnson, Terry Johnson, grandchild, Jeremy Cantrell.

Dorothy never had children but she was a loving mother to her deceased brother Gene's children, Robert and Angie Johnson of Rocky Face, GA, Lewis and Donna Johnson of Keystone Heights, FL, Lee Ann and Ricky Smith of Tunnel Hill, GA, Michael Johnson of Rocky Face, GA; niece and nephews, Joyce Cantrell of Dalton, GA, Timmy Johnson of Chatsworth, GA, Donald Bagley, Ronald Bagley of Dalton, GA; grandmother to their children, Bert Smith, Shane Smith, Josh Stokes, Cory Stokes, Sean Johnson, Jennifer Buchanan, Kelli Dixon, Michael Johnson Jr., Brooke Hasty, Jacob Ellis, Clint Bagley, Valorie Cruze, Jamie Johnson, Russell Bagley, Laura Bagley, Kim Williams; several great grandchildren. She also ran a daycare for many years and loved all the kids as her own.

At her request she will be cremated and a service will be held June 10, 2023 at Fort Mountian.
