Mrs. Dorothy Louise Hise, age 92, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, departed this life Tuesday February 14, 2023, at Parkridge East Hospital.  Dorothy was born November 18, 1930 in Hamilton County, Tennessee, daughter of the late Fred R. and Ruth Leola Miller.  She is also preceded in death by her husband Richard Hise, Sr.; sons, Earnest Loveless, Jr., Robert Steve Loveless, Randy Wayne Loveless.

Dorothy worked for ten years at Hills Department Store and for eighteen years as a bell ringer and for the Angel Tree with the Salvation Army.  Dorothy was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed dearly by her loving family.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Monroe of Rossville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Doylene Hise of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Twila Loveless Creagh, Michelle Loveless, Terry Loveless, Michael Loveless, James Monroe, Steve Loveless, Jr., William T. Monroe, Robert Monroe; great grandchildren, Kayne Monroe, Blake Monroe, Bradley Loveless, McKinely Monroe, Nicholas Monroe, Ross Monroe, Josh Loveless, Miranda and Amanda Loveless; and numerous great-great grandchildren.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Dorothy Hise will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. graveside at Ooltewah Cemetery in Ooltewah, Tennessee with speakers James Monroe and Michael Loveless officiating.  Interment will follow services.  Richard Hise, James Monroe, William T. Monroe, Robert Monroe, Michael Loveless and Steve Loveless will honored to serve as active pallbearers.  Terry (Smokey) Loveless, Bradley Loveless, Josh Loveless, McKinely Monroe, Nicholas Monroe, Ross Monroe, Blake Monroe, Kayne Monroe will serve as honorary pallbearers.  The family would like to give special thanks to Evelyn for the loving care that she showed towards Mrs. Dorothy.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Brainerd Chapel (4230 Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee) from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023.
