Mrs. Dorothy Ann Cobb age 67, of Villanow, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the local hospital. Dorothy was born May 26, 1945 in Whitfield County, a daughter of the late James Bell and Nancy Barton Brooks Bell. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Bell, Ned Van Dyke, Billy Bell, great granddaughter, Catalaya Sepulveda.
She is survived by her husband of fifty two years, Glen David "Bud" Cobb of Villanow, GA; children, Sissie and Kurt Ridley of Villanow, GA; Logan and Janet Cobb of Lafayette, GA, Dexter and Tina Cobb of Santa Fe, TX, Tippy and Tabatha Cobb of Chatsworth, GA; sisters, Barbara Bivens of Chatsworth, GA, Louise Drain of Dalton, GA, Clara Sue Blankenship of KY, Betty Lou Casson of Dalton, GA, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Dorothy Ann Cobb will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Beginnings Baptist Church in Villanow, GA, with Reverend Junior Williams officiating. She will lie in state at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church in Villanow, GA. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 P.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday May 6, 2013. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Youth Group at the New Beginning Baptist Church in her memory.
