Mrs. Dorothy Ann Chapman, age 88, of Rocky Face, GA, departed this life and entered into her heavenly home, Wednesday January 3, 2018 at Hamilton Medical Center. Dorothy was born June 11, 1929 in Murray County, Ga, the daughter of Mr. Early and Ellen Kinsey Early. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Frank Chapman; brothers, Roland Early and Sam Early. Dorothy loved to camp and while camping she would set on the bank and catch some trout. When not camping she enjoyed sewing, mining for ruby's in North Carolina. She was a member of House of Prayer Baptist Church in Villanow.

Mrs. Dorothy Ann Chapman is survived by her sons, Bruce and Karen "Pee Wee" Chapman; Phillip and Anita Chapman; grandchildren, Audie and Brandi Chapman and Amber Chapman Johnson.

Service to celebrate the life of Dorothy will be held, Saturday January 6, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel, with her grandson, Audie Chapman, Reverend Ricky Clark and her son, Evangelist Phillip Chapman officiating. Dorothy will be laid to rest at Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday January 5, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and from 12:00 p.m. on Saturday until the service hour.
