Mrs. Dorothy Melinda Benge, age 66, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, January 13, 2022 in at her home. She was born March 13, 1955 in Clinton, SC a daughter of the late John and Marian Muff Perdue. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marion Lewis Benge Jr.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Dennis Duckworth, Kelly Thompson, Jennifer and Terry Mobley, Tammi Hurtado; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Liz Purdue of Smyrna, GA, Chip and Kimberly Purdue, Eric and Laura Purdue of Atlanta, GA; ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

At her request she will be cremated and no services will be held at this time.
