Ms. Dorothy Mae Baker, age 74, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday morning, November 1, 2016 at her home. Dorothy was born August 21, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of the late James Oliver and Agnes Gerst Baker. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Lou Ledford, sister, Essie Yerty and brothers, Bobby Baker and James Baker. She was a member of the Cedar Valley Cathedral of Praise.

She is survived by her sons, Paul Ledford and Elizabeth Rosen of Chatsworth, GA, Benjamin F. "Dover" and Dawn Ledford, Jr. of Tampa, FL; daughters, Anna Collins of Chatsworth, GA, Teresa Ledford of Battle Creek, MI; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Dorothy Mae Baker will be held Thursday morning, November 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Brother George Cross officiating. She will be laid to at Ponders Murray Memorial Gardens with Brian Yerty, Kobie Miller, Jonathan Wheat, Ricky Sears, Rick Youngblood, Michael Byers and Josh Ledford serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning until the service hour.
