Mrs. Dorothy Mae Adams Painter age 82 of Resaca, GA, departed this life Wednesday June 23, 2021 at the Ridgewood Manor. She was born September 21, 1938 in Copper Hill, TN, a daughter of the late Arthur and Lillace Bell Adams. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Kathy Painter, Wanda Faye McCain, brothers, Willard Adams, Carl Adams, Clarence Adams, C.A. Adams, sisters, Minnie Bates, Lorene Beavers, Irene Rose, Alma Taylor, Elizabeth Cole, Ruby Weaver.

She is survived by her husband, William E. Painter of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Jackie Painter, Jeff and Sandra Painter of Dalton, GA; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Dorothy Mae Adams Painter will be held Monday June 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Jeff Painter and Pastor Adam Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Reed Hicks, Timothy Painter, Sean Brownlow, Drew Bates, Kris Walbert and Shane Gibson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.
