Mrs. Doris Faye Duckworth, age 79, of Chatsworth, GA, departed this life Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Chatsworth Healthcare. She was born September 29, 1941 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late Charles Zack and Arcie Mae Sneed Goforth. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, H.L., Clifford "Buck", Homer and Charles Zack Goforth Jr., sisters, Essie Lou Welch, Juanita Fields. special pet, Abbie.

She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Duckworth of the residence; children, Anthony Duckworth (Linda Allworth) of Calhoun, GA, Marquitta Houston (Scott) of Monticello, GA, Pamela Mathis (David) of Chatsworth, GA; sisters, Pearl Brown of Resaca, GA, Rose Cagle of Dalton, GA; bonus daughter, Melinda Gail "Lynne" Stafford (Chris) of Crandall, GA; grandchildren, Zachary Houston (Melissa), Jamie Campbell (Jake Mitchell), Lauren Duckworth, Coleman Duckworth, Peyton Tino (Brooke); great grandchildren, Aubree, Owen, Brooklyn, Eden, Hollie, Colt; special great niece, Jordan Green.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Doris Faye Duckworth will be held Saturday December 5, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Gerald Foster officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
