Mrs. Doris June Dobson, age 73, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday evening, November 12, 2015 at Ridgewood Manor Health Care. Doris was the youngest child of ten children born to the late Berry Anderson and Cynthia Tate Seritt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Grover Junior Dobson, a son, Roger Reed, sisters, Fronia Chastain and Christine Quarles and brothers, James, Lee, Jay and Roy Seritt.
She is survived by her daughters, Wendy Reed and Kim Parker; son, Terry Reed all of Calhoun, GA; sisters, Joy and Reverend Dallas Parker of Dalton, GA, Bonnie Smith of Hill City, GA, and Maybelle Sitton of Sugar Valley, GA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Ridgewood Manor Health Care for the wonderful attention and care shown to Doris during her stay there.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Doris June Dobson will be held Monday morning, November 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Dallas Parker officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at the Yukon Cemetery in Ellijay, Georgia, following the service at 2:00 p.m.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday until the service hour.
