Mrs. Doris "Janell" Davenport, age 70 of Dalton, GA., departed this life, Saturday May 2, 2015 at the local hospital. Janell was born January 18, 1945 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late Clarence Henry and Doris Jennet Gaines Grant. She was also preceded in death by her husband Randall Davenport, brother, Robert Henry Grant.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Phyllis Davenport; daughter and son-in-law, Gail and JE Griggs of Dalton, GA; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Lottie Grant of Chatsworth, GA, Lemen and Ethel Davenport of Blue Ridge, GA, Eva Mae Stanley of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Heather and Robbie Randolph, Jake and Ashley Raburn, Cordell McNabb; great grandchildren, Dakota, Hannah, Jacoby, Julie; special friend, Kathrine Jordan of Chatsworth, GA.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Doris Janell Davenport will be held Tuesday May 5, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. from the Harmony Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Lamar Beason officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday and after 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
