Mr. Donnie Edward Hasty, age 68, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday afternoon, July 25, 2019 at the local hospital.   Donnie was born July 14, 1951 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Carl Edward and Vivian Pauline Bradley Hasty. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Brackett.  Donnie was retired from Collins and Aikman where he worked for over twenty-six years.  He was a member of Valley Baptist Church.

Donnie is survived by his loving wife of forty-four years, Joy Tate Hasty of the residence; daughter, Melissa Clark; sons, Eddie Hasty and Tony Hasty all of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Keshia Hasty, Nicki Hasty, Ayden Hasty, Alexia Neff, Matthew Edge, Hope Hasty, Zachary Hasty, Adam and Kendra Forester, James Forester, Jr., John Forester and Polly Clark; great-grandchildren, Allister Wade, Keenan Norton, Marley Hasty, Jacob Forester, Kayleigh Forester, Mae Forester and Londyn Harris; brother, Wayne Hasty of Dalton, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Tim Harrison of Dalton, GA, and Rhonda Hasty of Tunnel Hill, GA; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Donnie Edward Hasty will be held Monday, July 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Charlie Hamm and Reverend Neal Hasty officiating.  He will be laid to rest at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with his grandsons and close friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
