Mr. Donnie Eugene Morgan, age 65, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Saturday evening, August 23, 2014 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, Georgia. Donnie was born November 17, 1948, in Gobey, TN, a son of the late Luther and Nellie Carroll Morgan. Also preceded in death by his brothers, Carl, Ray, William, and Gerald Morgan.

He is survived by his wife of forty six years, Cathlene Hall Morgan of the residence; son, Tony Morgan of Calhoun, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Brian Ledford of Cohutta, GA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Edward and Carlene Morgan of Calhoun, GA, Wayne and Shelia Morgan of Lancing, TN, Ralph and Maggie Morgan of Dalton, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Elmer Hale of Alabama, Barbara and Joe Walker, Mary Foster of Robbins, TN, Rannia and Harold Moles of Lancing, TN; grandchildren, Derek Morgan, Jennifer Coffman, Nicholas Ledford; great grandchildren, Randy, Ava, Anniston, Brent, Ayden, and Ansley; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Donnie Eugene Morgan will be held Tuesday August 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from the Bethel Baptist Church (101 E. May St., Calhoun, GA, 30701) with Pastor Lewis Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the Haven of Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until the service hour.
