Mrs. Donna Elizabeth Malone, age 58 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday October 25, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born April 18, 1956 in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter of the late, Vestal George and Katherine Mitchell Griggs. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Paul Mitchell Griggs, Robert Smith and Eddie Smith and a sister, Ruth Smith. She was formerly employed at Shaw Industries. She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church for over thirty years. Donna was full of life and loved people. She enjoyed writing poetry and loved to dance.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Darrell Malone and just celebrated their thirty-fourth wedding anniversary, September 15, 2014; daughter, Selina Wooden; sons, Jonathan Malone, Jeremy Malone; grandchildren, Nathaniel Wooden, Noah Hixson, Nicholas Hixson, Georgeanna Wilkins, Ethan Malone and Aidan Malone; sisters, Debbie ("Sissy") and Steve Williams, Nettie and Bobby Griggs; brother-in-law, Roger and Lisa Malone; sister-in-law, Darlene and Donnie Dalton; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday evening, October 28, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with her pastor, Brother Russell Snyder officiating. The family will receive friends after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday until the service hour.
