Mrs. Donna Kay Long age 64 of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the local hospital.  Donna was born April 29, 1958 in Dalton, Georgia, the daughter of the late Fletcher and Pauline Burkett. She was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. Donna passion was her family and being the best grandmother.

Donna is survived by her husband, Ricky Long of Tunnel Hill, Georgia; daughters, Ashley and Delfino Trejo, Lacey Long, Paige and Jeremy Durham all of Tunnel Hill, Georgia; brother, Jack and Connie Burkett of Chatsworth, Georgia; sister, Jane Leonard of Rocky Face, Georgia; grandchildren, Keyly Sissom, Kye Clark, Keyia Trejo and Kayla Trejo and many nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Donna Kay Long will be held Monday May 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Jason Blalock officiating. Interment will follow at United Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Monday May 9, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Ponders Funeral Home to help with funeral cost.
