Mr. Donald "Michael" Ledford, age 63, of Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, January 13, 2022 at his home with family. Michael was born March 16, 1958 in Pavo, Georgia. He was the son of the late Ross Ledford and Christine Wilson. Michael was a devoted man of God, a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. The highlight of his life was being with all of his girls and being Poppy/Pawpaw was one of his most treasured titles. If you knew him, you knew about Jesus and that he was always willing to help a neighbor in need. If you drive around this community, you have seen the work that he completed in homes, churches, and schools as a carpenter and brick mason.

Michael is survived by his wife of 28 years Patsy, baby daughter Cassie (David) Armstrong of Niota, Tennessee; sons and daughters, Jessica Martinez of Rocky Face, Georgia, Kimberly (Pallas) Phillips of Rossville, Georgia, Eddie (B.J) Bramblett of Dalton, Georgia, Dewayne Bramblett of Dalton, Georgia, and Elaine Bell of Dalton, Georgia; granddaughters Emma Jean, Ella Kate, Brooklyn, Lydia, Trinity, Allysa, Bryleigh, and Kylie; brothers and sister, William Phillips of Flintstone, GA, Allen "Lamar" Baker of Flintstone, Georgia, and Teresa Willis of Dalton, Georgia.

Service to celebrate the life of Michael will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Brother Eddie Bramblett and Ann Kyle officiating. He will be laid to rest at Mill Creek Cemetery with Jessica Martinez, James Smythers, Jimmy Smythers, Lamar Baker, Justin Weeks, Pallas Hall and Dwayne Bramblett serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 17, 2022 at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
