Mrs. Dollie Ann "Granny" Taylor Moore , age 100 years young. Christ Called a precious angel home Sunday September 25, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Dollie was born July 12, 1916 in Bartow County, Georgia, a daughter of the late Fletcher and Maggie Bell Taylor. The family later moved to Murray County, Georgia, where she met the love of her life Lonnie Moore. Later in life the family moved to Dalton, Georgia. Dollie attended Pine Grove Elementary School and gave her life to Christ at an early age and became a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Murray County, and later in life became a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.

Dollie was a loving and devoted wife of fifty-five years, mother of seven daughters and fifteen grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. For many years she attended to her grandchildren and many in the community. She enjoyed quilting, ceramics, and taking care of her flowers, loved growing and canning her own vegetables and jellies. She also loved turnip greens, the color blue and her favorite song was "His Eye Is on the Sparrow".

Dollie lived to the age of one hundred years and was a remarkable woman and was loved and touched many. Her legacy will continue to live through each and every one of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Annie Ruth O'Neal, Malinda Jackson and Ethel Betton, grandchildren, Steve Andrews and Craig O'Neal, great-grandchild, Mara Avery, her brothers, Henry, William, James, Dave, John and George Taylor and her sisters, Mary Taylor, Ruth Bowie and Lillie Dean.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters and sons-in-law, Lillie Mae and Raymond Bonds, Sarah F. and Allen Andrews, Shirley Jean and Jerry Willis, Mary E. and Charles Avery and Henry L. Jackson all of Dalton, GA; sister, Mrs. Jean Davis of Detroit, MI; grandchildren, Myra and Murrell Bradley, Ronnie and Angela Bonds, James Betton, Jr., Chris and Tammy Jackson, Tim Bonds, Melissa and Leon Avery, Sonja and Charles Fennel, Ginger and Kious Andrews, Anthony Willis, Leslie and Tim Pender, Andre and Candace Willis, Cristie Avery and Junius Betton; twenty-six great-grandchildren, fifteen great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the Gordon and Lula Bell Willis family and the Amedisys Hospice.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Dollie Ann "Granny" Taylor Moore will be held Friday, September 30, 2016 at 2:00 o'clock p.m. at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, (2014 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.) with Reverend Edward Hoggs and Dr. Reverend Jerry Jones officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at the West Hill Cemetery with her great-grandsons serving as pallbearers and her great-granddaughters will serve as flower girls.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening and at the church after 1:00 p.m. Friday until the service hour.
