Mrs. Dimple Cook Manning Carter, age 87, of Dawsonville, Georgia, departed this life Monday, June 6, 2016 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton, GA surrounded by her loving family. Dimple was born September 21, 1928 in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter to the late Charlie and Eulah Joiner Cook. She was also preceded in death by her first husband of 33years: Frank J. Manning, and her second husband of 30 years; Edward William Carter, a daughter; Patsy Kidd, and a son Hoyt Manning and a brother, Harland Cook.

Dimple is survived by sons and a daughter in law; Frank and Annette Manning of Dawsonville, GA and David Lee Manning of Forsyth, GA. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Dimple Carter will be held Friday June 10, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Ponders Melrose Chapel with her son David Manning officiating. She will be laid to rest at Whitfield Memorial Gardens Cemetery with family and friends serving as pall bearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel on Friday June 10, 2016 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. until the service hour.
