IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Diane
Longley
November 1, 1949 – September 22, 2024
Broken Chain Ron Tranmer
We little knew the day that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you But you didn't go alone. For part of us went with you The day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories. Your love is still our guide, And though we cannot see you You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Diane Longley, a woman of extraordinary warmth, care, and comfort. Born on November 1, 1949, Diane lived a vibrant life until her peaceful passing on September 22, 2024.
Diane's professional life was a testament to her nurturing spirit, caring for those around her with passion and dedication. She lived her life putting others before herself, a characteristic that deeply touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Diane was an exceptional wife, mother, and grandmother who considered her family to be her greatest accomplishment. She leaves behind her loving husband, Stewart Longley, her cherished daughters and their spouses Amy and Jason Catton, and Jessica and David Ruscito, and her adoring grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, and Kaitlyn Catton, and Andrew Ruscito, as well as her late "grand puppy" Riley Ruscito. Their wonderful memories of Diane will serve as a comforting blanket of love as they navigate through this difficult time.
The holidays held a special place in Diane's heart, and she always added her special touch to the season, making it an unforgettable time for her loved ones. Her legacy will be one of focusing on the simple but crucially important things in life, a guiding principle that she passionately instilled in her family and everyone she loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to the Alzheimer's Association at https://everloved.com/life-of/diane-longley/donate/, as a way to honor Diane's memory and provide support for an organization dear to her heart.
Diane's loss will be deeply felt by all who knew her, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends, her lessons and values serving as a beacon of love, kindness, and compassion.
Diane requested a small service with immediate family only, but we appreciate everyone's love and support and encourage everyone to share their favorite memoires of Diane on this memorial website.
