Mrs. Denise Carol Underwood Hunnicutt, age 64 of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday evening, March 27, 2019 at CHI Memorial Hospital Georgia in Fort Oglethorpe.

She was born on January 6, 1955 in Blue Ridge, Georgia, a daughter of the late Dorson and Doris Collier Underwood.  Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by a brother and sister, Joe and Joice Ball.

Mrs. Hunnicutt is survived by her daughter, Joleen Hunnicutt of Chatsworth; a nephew who was just like a son to her, Chris Britton of Cassville, Georgia; grandchildren, Denise and Bobby Hall; sisters, Lynn Frederick of Kentucky, Dottie Hand of Florida, and Debbie Underwood of Blue Ridge, Georgia; brother, Don Underwood of Idaho; special friends, Tina Barnes of Cartersville, Georgia, and Tina Cook of Chatsworth, Georgia; several more nieces and nephews also survive.

A service to celebrate the life of Ms. Denise Hunnicutt will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Brother George Cross officiating.  Ms. Hunnicutt's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 12:00 Noon until the service hour.
