Ms. Deborah Johnson, age 69 of Dalton, Georgia departed this life Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Advanced Rehab Parkside surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 28, 1956, in Pittsfield Massachusetts, the daughter of the late John and Charlene Reese MacWhinnie.

Deborah was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, William Earl Johnson. She is also preceded in death by her brothers Patrick and Scott MacWhinnie.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Steven Mahaffey of Ringgold, GA; brothers, John, Mark and Bruce MacWhinnie, sisters Kathleen Thompson, Cindy Tift Billijoe MacWhinnie and Sharon MacWhinnie. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Eleanor Mahaffey, Pierce Mahaffey, several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the American Cancer Society.
