Mr. David Russell Roden, age 65, of Ranger, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, November 23, 2023 at the Emory Hospital. He was born January 6, 1958 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father Grady Roden, brother Ray Roden, granddaughter Kayleigh Kown.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Gail Roden of the residence; mother, Eloise Roden of Atlanta, GA; son and daughter-in-law, David Jr. and Crystal Roden of Calhoun, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Chris Cartwright of Calhoun, GA, Amanda and Randall Welch of Chatsworth, GA; brothers, Gary Roden of Atlanta, GA, Ronnie Roden of Tennessee; sisters, Cynthia Berryhill, Darlene Christmas of Atlanta, GA; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Ponders Calhoun Chapel on Sunday November 26, 2023 from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at the Roden Family Cemetery in Ranger, GA at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
