Mr. David Robert Ridley age 67, of Dalton, GA, passed away Monday August 22, 2016. He was born May 19, 1949 in Dalton, GA, a son of the late Walter and Marie Ridley. He was also preceded in death by an infant brother Jackie. He was of the Baptist Faith. For many years he was self-employed but in recent years he was also employed at Precision Products Inc. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his sisters and brother-in-law, Bobbie Jane Ridley, Shirley and Herman Stone of Dalton, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Linda Ridley of Conyers, GA; brother, Glenn Jones of Dalton, GA; also beloved friends, Brian and Sarah Burke; god-daughters, several nieces and a nephew, several aunts and cousins.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. David Robert Ridley will be held Thursday August 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend James Smith and Dr. Danny Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Kilgore Cemetery with Kris Calhoun, Jason Watts, Tim Thornton, Tim Burke, Kevin Burke and Jimmy Coffman serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.
