Mr. David Payne , age 66, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday morning, October 27, 2021 at the local hospital. David was born July 11, 1955 in Calhoun, GA, the son of the late Roy and Martha Hudson Payne. David was also preceded in death by his brother Max Payne; sisters, Faye Dover, Ruth Hulsey. David enjoyed hunting, fishing and making knives.

David his survived by his wife, Lovinia Evans Payne, they were married, April 4, 1978; sons, Jody Payne or Cartersville, GA, Paul (Jamie) Payne of Canton, GA, Michael (Vickie) Payne of Dalton, GA, Dewayne (Amber) Payne, Cartersville, GA; daughter, Amber (David Hedgecock) Payne of Dalton, GA; brother, Ronnie Payne; sisters, Sarah Nichols of Acworth, GA, Patricia (Danny) Weaver of Dallas, GA; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
