Mr. David Lee Butts, age 71, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday July 14, 2020 at the local hospital. He was born October 19, 1948 in Dekalb, Illinois, a son of the late John and Emma Summer Butts. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joanie L. Butts, son, David Butts, brothers, Howard Butts, George Butts, sister, Caroline Brannon.

He is survived by his children, Denita Dickson of Middleburg, FL, Vada and Salomon Romero of Henderson, NV, Rhonda Darrah of Tunnel Hill, GA, Richard and Julie Butts of San Diego, CA, Christina Wildey of Arizona; Tammy and Bill Kessel of Illinois; brothers and sister-in-law, Dennis and Jill Butts of California, Rich Butts of Tunnel Hill, GA; sister, Lois Delia of Virginia; twenty-four grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation for David Lee Butts will be held Friday July 17, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.at the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with his friends and family sharing memories. Private interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
