Mr. David Lee Brown, 62, of Rome, Georgia, and formerly of Ringgold, Georgia,
departed this life Tuesday morning, August 20, 2019 at Assured Hospice House in
Cartersville, Georgia. David was born February 6, 1957 in Ringgold, Georgia, a son of
the late William Jasper and Eula Irene Floyd Brown. He was also preceded in death by
brothers, Eddie Brown, William "Billy" Brown, Floyd Brown and Fay Ernest Brown and
a sister, Katherine Poteet.
He is survived by a brother and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Linda Brown of Sardis, MS, and
Levada Brown of Memphis, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. David L. Brown will be held Saturday, August 24,
2019 at 12:00 p.m. Noon at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Brandon Crews
officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his parents at Anderson Memorial Gardens with
his nephews serving as pallbearers. Music will be provided by Melinda Harmon. The
family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the
service hour.
