Mr. David Wayne Berg, age 45, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday March 15, 2016 at the local hospital. David was born January 17, 1971 in East St. Louis, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his father, James J. Berg, his birth mother, Rosemary Carron. David was a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and was a big supporter of all law enforcements. Upon David's passing, he graciously gave the gift of sight, by making a donation to the Georgia Eye Bank.

He is survived his daughters, Emily Berg-Ricks of Conway, AR, Kara Detmer of Fulton, MO; mother, Wyoma Tucker Berg, fiance, Dianna Hodnett of Dalton, GA; birth father, James and Krista Wren; brothers, Josh Cole, Tim and Janet Wren; sisters, Tina Callico, Krystal Cole, Janet and Clayton Adcock, Deanna Brewer.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. David Wayne Berg will be held Friday March 18, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Russell Snyder officiating. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will follow at Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
