Mr. Dave Randall Davenport , age 58, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, August 21, 2022, at the local hospital.  Dave was born November 3, 1963, in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Randall and Doris Janell Grant Davenport.  He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Doris Grant, Marion Davenport and Beulah Davenport Key.

Dave was a 1980 graduate of Murray County High School and was employed by Floor Max, Inc.

He is survived by his sister, Gail Davenport Griggs of Dalton, GA; nieces and nephews, Heather Raburn, Jake and Ashley Raburn, Cordell and Mikaila McNabb; great-nieces and great-nephews, Dakota Lee, Hannah Lee, Jacoby Raburn, Julie Raburn, Stevie McNabb, Hadley McNabb and one on the way, Mattie McNabb: special friend, Paul Walker; several cousins and many friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Dave Randall Davenport will be held Friday, August 26, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at Harmony Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Chris Stanley and Reverend Dwight Scott officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his parents at Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with Jake Raburn, Cordell McNabb, Gabriel Garner, Dakota Lee, Greg Scott, Michael Young and Jacoby Raburn honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and after 1:00 p.m. Friday until the service hour.
