Mrs. Darrell "Dari" Wanna Kleine Lavender, age 64, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 23, 1958 in Birmingham, Alabama, a daughter of the late Bill and Bebe Kleine. Dari was a beautiful person with a beautiful spirit. To know Dari was to love and be loved by her. She loved fiercely and freely. Her generosity was never-ending. She helped many people throughout her life and could always be counted on to be there for family and friends, and even strangers, in times of both need and celebration. Dari was a talented writer and photographer who loved capturing life's experiences in words and pictures.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Russell Lavender of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Sarah Lavender; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Marc Mathis of Dalton, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and Bobby Joe James of Tuscaloosa, AL; grandchildren, Caylee and Jarrod Wright, Caden and Lainey Mathis, Luke Mathis, Zoe Mathis, Kingston Lavender, Beckham Lavender, great granddaughter, Stella Mathis; special friends, Deanna Parker, Carla Milligan, Connie Johnston.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. "Dari" Lavender will be held Sunday December 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Stan Lester and Reverend Wayne Cofield officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
