Mr. Darrell Leonard Cochran, age 83, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday afternoon, February 28, 2019 at the local hospital.  Darrell was born April 29, 1935 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Taylor Leonard and Daisy Scruggs Cochran.  He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Edna Burchfield, Thelma Vaughn and Louise Gossett, his brothers, Hobert Cochran and Clifford Cochran and a very dear friend, Leonard Rollins.  Darrell was retired from the City of Dalton Public Works Department.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Lillian Jeanette Rollins of Dalton, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Eddie Martin of Tunnel Hill, GA, Dana and Franklin Sane of Dalton, GA, Becky Mealor of Jacksonville, FL, and Gloria Taylor of Dalton, GA; grandsons, Charles Lee Green, II, Nathan Green, Mark Sane all of Dalton, GA, and William Lee Bryant of Anniston, AL; eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Darrell Leonard Cochran will be held Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Wayne Cofield officiating.  He will be laid to rest at the West Hill Cemetery with his grandsons and sons-in-law serving as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and after 11:00 a.m. Sunday until the service hour.
