Mrs. Darlene Busie Paynter, age 59, of Rossville, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday morning, June 12, 2024 at her home. She was born January 15, 1965 in Detroit, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her father Reverend Freeman Busie, husband Edward Lamar Paynter, brothers Phillip Otis Busie, Ronnie Busie.

She is survived by her mother, Lexie Busie of Dalton, GA; son, Taylor Paynter of Rossville, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Candi and Austin Patton of Resaca, GA, Jennifer Paynter and Adam Szydzik of Rossville, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Zelma Busie of Virginia, Freeman Ben and Ilene Busie of Dalton, GA, James and Diane Busie of Chatsworth, GA, Michael and Lorie Busie of Tunnel Hill, GA, David and Maria Busie of Chatsworth, GA, Betty Busie of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Vince Patton, Sophia Patton; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Darlene Busie Paynter will be held Sunday June 23, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ben Busie Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Daniel Busie, Brad Shuler, Michael Busie, Austin Patton, Armando Luna and Adam Szydzik serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
