Mrs. Marion Darlene Dills, age 68 of Chatsworth, Georgia departed this life Saturday, April 4, 2026, five days shy of her birthday, at Advent Health Murray in Chatsworth, Georgia.

Darlene was born April 9, 1957, in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter of the late Edward Bill and Frances Mable Wooten Whitmore. She was also preceded by her brother, William Lee Whitmore, and a sister, Kathy Meyers.

Darlene is survived by her husband of fifty years, Ed Barry Dills of the residence; sons and daughter-in-law, Christopher “Pooter” and Angelia Dills, Steven Ed Dills; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Darlene “Missy” and Mark Phillips all of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Tyler Dills, Dakota Dills, Carter Phillips, Damian Dills, Morgan Dills, Hunter Phillips, Hayden Phillips and Gabriel Faas; great-granddaughters, Grace and Mila Dills; sister, Faye Baker; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Marion “Darlene” Dills will be held Friday, April 17, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Jeff Johnson officiating. She will be laid to rest with her family at Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Steven Dills, Christopher Dills, Marcus Bishop, Michael Paul Dills, Tyler Dills and Dakota Dills honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2026, until the service hour.
