Mr. Danny Leroy Denton, age 49, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday morning, November 18, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Danny was born February 1, 1974, in Rockwood, Tennessee.  Danny had many physical disabilities and even though he was blind he had a smile that could light up any room.  He loved to fish and spend time with his grandchildren, who were the joy of his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Leroy Denton, a brother, David Denton and his father-in-law, Albert Green.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Green Denton of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Jacob and Hannah Denton; daughters, Kaitlin Long, and Abby Denton; grandchildren, Owen Denton and Natalie Denton all of Dalton, GA; mother, Rosie Johnson Denton of Tunnel Hill, GA; brother, Jason Denton of McDonald, TN; sisters, Kathy Denton and Amanda McCalley both of Tunnel Hill, GA; mother-in-law, Linda Green Hardman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lynn and Sissy Green, Stacy and Robert Franklin all of Blue Ridge, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Danny Leroy Denton will be held Sunday, November 26, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. Noon at New River Baptist Church (1494 Galloway Rd., Blue Ridge, GA., 30513) with Reverend Jackie Chastain officiating. Music will be provided by Joseph Chastain. He will be laid to rest in the church cemetery with Austin Misskelley, Hoyt W. Green, Robert Franklin, Wesley Gibson, Jeremiah Rogers and Jordan Johnson honored to serve as pallbearers. Owen Denton and Jacob Denton will serve as honorary pallbearers.  The family will receive friends at the church after 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning until the service hour.
