Mr. Danny " June Bug" Lamar Carter, age 54, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this, Monday April 19, 2021 at his home.

Danny was born November 19, 1966 in Dalton, Georgia, the son of the late Doyle Blake and Vennie Smith Carter. Danny loved to deer hunt and looked forward every year for deer season to arrive. When not deer hunting, he loved to watch wrestling and Nature Boy Ric Flair was his favorite wrestler to watch. He was employed with Tuftco as a metal fabricator.

Danny is survived by his son, Danny Lamar Carter II of Dalton, GA; sister, Darlene and Darrell Pasley of Rocky Face, Georgia; nephew, Jacob O'Bryant of Cartersville, Georgia.

Service to celebrate the life of Danny Lamar Carter will be held Thursday April 22, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Randy Postell and Tim Kile officiating. Danny will be laid to rest with his parents on Friday April 23, 2021 at 1:00 o'clock p.m. at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Phil Ratcliff, Danny Carter, Jacob O'Bryant, Terence Ellsworth, Gabe Robinson and Joshua Elliott serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Thursday April 22, 2021 at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 3:00 p.m. until the service hour at 6:00 p.m.

Due to the national health crisis and the Covid – 19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
