Mr. Daniel Cephas McHan, Sr., age 46, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Hamilton Medical Center.

Daniel was born October 25, 1977, in Dalton, Georgia.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Ruth Peace Horton and his father, Thomas Eugene McHan, Jr., and his grandparents, Ray Peace, and Thomas Eugene and Florene Chance McHan, Sr.

He is survived by a son, Daniel C. "D.J." McHan, Jr., of Campobello, SC; mother, Mary Rose McHan of Dalton, GA; sister, Tammy and Kevin King of Ellijay, GA; brothers, Kevin and Krista McHan, Jason Rogers and James Dean Rogers all of Dalton, GA; grandmother, Juanita Coates of Columbus, SC; aunts and uncles, Judy Sosebee of Dalton, GA, Cynthia Peace of Greenville, SC, Ray and Judy Peace, Jr. of Easley, SC, Nancy and Harrison Bridgeman of Inman, SC; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Daniel Cephas McHan, Sr., will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel.  He will be laid to rest at Antioch Cemetery with Joshua Rogers, Chuck Wells, Kevin McHan, Scott Sosebee, Jason Rogers and Paul McHan honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until the service hour.
